Heal Pain Naturally Celebrates 100th Post and 1 Year Anniversary!

Thank you to my readers, fellow bloggers and family for making this blog successful over the last year. I am even more in love with blogging than I was a year ago. I wanted to share with you why I started blogging, the most popular posts of the past year, fellow bloggers that have inspired me, my achievements, what direction this blog is headed in and also some personal thank you's. Sit back, relax and enjoy and bookmark so you can come back later and read some of the incredible blogs and posts referenced -- this is gonna be a longg one! ;-)Here's a short video thank you to start you off:

THE BEGINNING

After I had healed myself and wrote my ebook on the healing process I needed a way to market it to get my story out there. I went onto The Warrior Forum and found out about this FREE internet Marketing Course Called The Thirty Day Challenge. I loved it and fell in love with blogging in the process. I even made a video to thank Dan Raine and Ed Dale for offering and teaching The Thirty Day Challenge. I am doing it this year as well (Aug every year). It is even MORE awesome and the tools they teach aren't JUST cutting edge but almost anyone that spends some time on the internet could benefit from their vast knowledge. Thanks again guys!

Writing had always been a part of my life and connecting with others through it had been something I had never considered. I am loving meeting, learning from and helping people and blogging has turned out to be a lot more social that I had originally thought. I would like to share with you some of the most popular posts that I have written this past year:

Blogging/Bloggers

I started off Heal Pain Naturally and Non Violent Computer Game Recommendations for Children at about the same time. I enjoy writing for both blogs although I write for Heal Pain Naturally more frequently and feel this is where my deepest passion lies. I have met so many INCREDIBLE people in the world of blogging and yes, I will attempt to list the people I NEED to thank and that I believe will enrich your life as well. I tried to break them into categories but it came down to this -- whether it be health, personal development, spirituality, parenting or business -- these writers all help people to live their lives to their fullest potential. So I decided to list them alphabetically (by first name) and write a little blurb about each along with a post of theirs that I think you will enjoy.

Aaron Potts of Today is That Day and Personal Development Partners is the only fellow blogger I have written a birthday poem to. Aaron has offered a lot of support and praise to me this year and for that and for PDP I am forever grateful. A great post of Aaron's to check out is "You Have to Look with Better Eyes Than That".

Akemi of
Yes To Me and Akashic Record Reading is a very kind and genuine person. I had met through PDP and met again after hearing from Cath Lawson's blog that she did Akashic Record Readings. The Akashic Reading she did for me was brilliant and has helped me tremendously. I recommend reading, "Dodging the Many Forms of Psychological Manipulation".

Albert the
Urban Monk's blog helped me tremendously from the beginning. Albert is very wise and incorporates his knowledge of spirituality into his inspiring posts. I recommend checking out his "Start Here page" which has many of his most popular articles listed so you can choose which area you want to explore.

Alex Blackwell of The Next 45 Years is inspiring in that he writes personal development posts incorporating his life. Alex is currently guest posting as he changes his place of writing. Alex has been supportive of my blog over the last year and I am very grateful. Check out his latest -- a guest post on Pick the Brain, "3 Strategies for Radically Better Decision Making". or click on his name to see many of his Ezine Articles.

Alex Shalman at
Alex Shalman (Practical Personal Development) I got to meet in person at the Steve & Erin Pavlina meet-up last fall in NYC. I had only been blogging a few months and had talked to Alex through email several times. Alex is living proof that what he writes about works and he is very generous with his knowledge. He never ceases to amaze me with all his accomplishments. I really enjoyed Alex's Happiness Project and "Three Personal Development Principals that Changed My Life".

Ange Recchia of
Ange's Biz and I have been talking for over a year now. We have The Thirty Day Challenge, mommyhood, love of nature and a lot of other things in common. She is also a writer on Go! Smell The Flowers. I recommend giving Ange a shout out and also reading her article "Speak Now Before it is Too Late".

Bruno LoGreco at
Morning Java with Bruno Lo Greco is a life coach and a family life coach with a huge heart. He has given me lots of encouragement over the last few months and I am very grateful we met. "Self Acceptance" is a wonderful post with action steps.

Camille Strate at
Joyz a Choice simply radiates love. Love for all with a special connection to animals. Camille and I have talked quite a bit on the phone and it has been a joy getting to know her. You can check out many of her posts on her Self Growth profile. One of my favorites is, "Why Can't I Meditate?"

Cath Lawson's tagline for her blog is "Bold Advice for Business Success" but her blog is MUCH more than that. Cath is witty, smart and shares her incite on business and life in general with tons of loyal readers. "6 Things You Can Learn from the Man with No Shoes" is a good place to begin.

Caroline Middlebrook of the
Caroline Middlebrook blog and Stumble Rush course has now also launched "Life Should Feel Good". Caroline is a blogging machine and is very knowledgeable about a lot more than just blogging. I have enjoyed emailing with Caroline (yep, there HAVE been some longgg ones) and I highly recommend her Stumble Rush course if you want to learn about Stumble Upon. I look forward to watching her "Life Should Feel Good" blog grow. Check it out and read "You Don't Need to Experience Extreme Suffering to Be Deeply Unhappy".

Darcy at
Spiritual Blog Reviews does in depth reviews of spiritual sites. She is very sweet and kindly reviewed Heal Pain Naturally in December 2007. There are so many sites to discover through Darcy's blog. She recently reviewed 2 of my other favorites mentioned below on my list "Shift Your Spirits" and "Holistic Personal Development". Thanks Darcy for your in depth reviews and pointing me to new sites to explore!

Debra Oakland at Living in Courage IS COURAGE. She has withstood many tragedies and has come out beaming light and love. You will find lots of inspiration at Debra's blog including "Gift Yourself with Courage".

Dr. KC is the Doc in the Biz and a psychotherapist and is also at the GLC Zone (Grow Learn Change) which is a social network for health blogs. Dr. KC has a lot of experience in the field of psychology, has a great writing style and I recommend "Where is the Grass Greener?"

Dr. Nicole at
Kitchen Table Medicine is a naturopath. At Kitchen Table Medicine you will find lots of natural cures and things to keep you healthy as well as Dr. Nicole dispelling natural health rumors all with a sense of humor and intelligence. Check out her post "The Best Bedtime Snacks for Insomniacs".

Edward Mills at
Evolving Times and Edwards Mills has been one of my favorites for a while now. From his Energetics of Attraction course to his Vision Board Contest (which I was lucky enough to win) Edward Mills always inspires me. Please visit one of my favorites of his, "Top Ten Lessons I've Learned from My Daughter (So Far)".

Ellie Walsh at Living the Law of Attraction I was able to meet since I am fortunate enough live in the same state as her. We had breakfast one morning (for about 2 1/2 hours) and I could have talked with her all day. She's funny, smart and is very knowledgeable about the Law of Attraction. A wonderful post by her is "GIGO -- Garbage In -- Garbage Out".

Erin Pavlina I met briefly at her meetup with Steve in NYC. Erin is a gifted psychic and has many interesting and useful posts on her site. I approached her when I needed advice on beginning to Lucid Dream and she was more than nice in helping me. Please check out her post, "The Golden Rule".

Evelyn Lim at Attraction Mind Map I came across recently and have really been enjoying her blog. She is very sweet and writes in depth posts. Check out, "Face Up To Your Six Basic Fears".

Gil Galanti of
Conceptis Puzzles and also of Cult Case (a culture and art online magazine) and I share a love of puzzles and games. I wrote about Conceptis on both blogs and Conceptis made a puzzle featuring my children's photograph. Gil is a super nice guy and I recommend checking out Cult Case, Conceptis and also "Downloading Soduko to your cell from Conceptis for FREE".

Gregory Butler at
Holistic Personal Development has helped me many times over the last year and I am very grateful for our friendship. I am a big fan of his writing and especially like his posts on consciousness. Please take a look at "Nothing Happens Until Something Moves".

Hunter Nuttall I have only been reading a few months but LOVE his blog. He wrote a recent series on "Introverts versus Extraverts" that has gotten a lot of attention. He is also a student of Randy Pausch of "The Last Lecture" and wrote a post about "Randy and his wonderful Pauschisms". Hunter is an awesome writer and another favorite of mine is, "Treading Water Only Delays Drowning".

Isabella Mori at
Change Therapy is a psychotherapist that I met early on in blogging. She has been blogging since December 2005 so you will find many useful posts on her blog. She has many posts on eating disorders and her blog is the location for the Eating Disorders Carnival. I recommend checking out her post, "The Definition of Addiction".

Jennifer Abbott of
Principals for Peace wrote a guest post on my blog recently on SFT Awareness. We share similar goals in spreading the power of healing naturally. She has many inspiring posts on her site. Here's a very good post to check out about humility, "Do You Want to Be Great?"

Karen Lynch of "
Live the Power"is a writer with a beautiful voice that I can always relate to. She gave me such priceless advice before I shot my first video and is simply as real as you can get. I could recommend quite a few of Karen's posts but here's one to start, "Wanting What You've Got -- A Gratitude Primer".

Karin Hiebert was the other person who gave my priceless advice in making my first video. I've written about Karin who has endured so much in her life and come out stronger and wiser for it. Karin is a wonderful teacher and I recommend checking out the healing tools she recommends.

Kelly Rigby at
She-Power is just hilarious and as real as they come. She adds much needed laughter to the Ummm... shall we say "challenges" of motherhood, marriage and life in general. I recently started reading She-Power and have been enjoying it thoroughly. Read "How to Be a Babe at Any Age".

Leena at
Conceptis Addict I met through Gil and Dave from Conceptis. She is a very kind woman with a smart head for puzzles and she and I have been in touch since the beginning of blogging for both of us. Leena posts lots of cool links to explore like this physics experiment.

Liara Covert of Dreambuilders I must first congratulate on getting married this week! Liara writes about spirituality, success and much more. Liara has reached out to me and answered my questions (I have many) effortlessly and with encouragement. Please look at "I Tried That Once and It Didn't Work!".

Linda Salazar of
Awaken the Genie Within helped me SO much when I was "stuck" in a part of my healing emotionally. She is very intuitive and I am so grateful for the time she spent with me. Her book "Awaken the Genie Within" is wonderful as is her blog. Take a look at her post, "Motivated by Inspiration or Ambition?" to read her inspiring words.

Liz Strauss at
Successful Blog has a wonderful community at her blog. She gives valuable advice, posts inspirational posts and encourages conversation with her readers. I love her writing style, intelligence and outlook on life and I recommend reading, "Social Networking in the World of Life".

Lola Fayomi I stumbled across recently and know I will be spending a lot of time on her blog going through her posts. She has such a kind and authentic voice. I love her series on Clearing Self Limiting Beliefs which Begins with "Identifying Them". I look forward to getting to know Lola better as I explore her blog. Lyman Reed at Creating a Better Life I first met through PDP.

Lyman is wonderful at sharing resources that will help you design a better life from the inside out. A great sample of Lyman's voice is "
I Am I Feel There is (Rotten Apples)".

Michele Vandepas of "
Divine Purpose Unleashed"(which she has with CK Reyes) stopped to help me with advice right before leaving for a blog convention. Her kindness and intuitive nature was evident on the phone and her words and advice continue to inspire me. Check out "Here's a Quick Way to Discover What's Important to You (And ME)".

Neil Sattin is currently developing
his children's music site and also has a Natural Dog Training blog and a Personal Development Blog. Neil and I met at the Pavlina meetup and we stayed in touch ever since and he has become a friend. Neil is smart, funny and has very enjoyable children songs. I love his post, "Relationship Advice -- How to Know When to Leave a Relationship".

Patricia at
Spiritual Journey of a Lightworker is an inspiration. She hesitates to call herself "an incest survivor" anymore because she is much more than that and her experience helped to form her into who she is today. Patricia shares her vast spiritual knowledge and journey and a good post to begin with is, "Healing and Letting Go of Repressed Emotions".

Patrick Mathieu at The Power of Mortality I met when I won his book in a contest run by Peter (below). I wrote a review of Patrick's book "What's Your Expiry Date?" in March and highly recommend it. His story is hugely inspirational as is his blog. A good starting place is his post"Whose Business is That?"

Peter at The Change Blog and Pick the Brain and I have been emailing the last few months. He is a pleasure to communicate with and very kind. He consistently provides interesting and helpful posts. A very useful one is "24 Daily Habits".

Priscilla McIntire (formerly Priscilla Palmer) and I met through her Personal Development List and PDP and we became quick friends. Priscilla has given me lots of good advice over the last year and I wish her good luck as she has recently gotten married, is pregnant and resumed blogging. Please read her recent post "Provide Value to Others".

Raymond Mannion at
Oneonta TaeKwonDo and occasionally at home with me and the kids is without a doubt "the love of my life". We have been through so much these last 11 years of marriage and it just makes us stronger. I recommend checking out his post "Top 7 Things to Consider Before Choosing a Martial Arts School". Ray tests for his 3rd degree black belt in October and runs his own Tae Kwon Do School in town.

Rich German is the co creator along with his sister Robin Hoch of "Living The Law of Attraction: Real Stories of People Manifesting Health, Wealth and Happiness" that I was lucky enough to be a part of. Rich runs meditation classes that are brilliant and you can find out more about him on his site.

Robin Hoch not only co-produced the above book with her brother but also co-authored the wonderful ebook "
How to Talk to Your Kids About The Law of Attraction" with Rich as well. Both books are well worth checking out.

Sierra Goodman of
I can I can I can is also featured in the Living the Law of Attraction book. She is proof you can use the law of attraction to lose weight because she lost 170 lb. She also is living her dream job in Costa Rica. Check out her blog to learn more about her inspirational story and life.

Simon from
The Secret of Life and I met at the beginning of my blogging. We corresponded a good bit and it's been a pleasure to get to know him. I love his latest post, "Ten Words That Can Heal the World".

Slade Roberson of Shift Your Spirits can find me looking forward to his weekly posts as they arrive in my inbox. When I read a post from Slade I am always taken by his intelligence and by how connected he is spiritually. Slade inspires me to become more spiritually connected and for that I am very grateful. I recently enjoyed his post, "What Are You Waiting For?".

Steve Pavlina gave me very good advice when I got to meet him in NYC. I was bogged down in the few negative comments I was receiving and was not concentrating on all the positive ones. He put it in perspective really quickly for me and since then I have received very few negative comments. You could spend days reading all his posts and also discussing them in his forums. Here's a good place to start, "Levels of Consciousness".

Suzie Cheel of
Abundance Highway and her art blog is an inspiration to me. She is brave and has posted a few goals online that would have had me shaking in my shoes and she succeeded. Go Suzie! Check out Suzie's, "Monday Motivation: Being Aware".

Tim Brownson of
A Daring Adventure is probably so sick of me singing his praises but I could not leave him off of this list. His HILARIOUSLY real and INTELLIGENT outlook on life keeps me going back for more. His book "Don't Ask No Stupid Questions - There are No Stupid Questions" is one to read and re-read. Ok Tim -- promise you won't be mentioned in my next post! ;-) Check out this brilliant one by Tim, "Are You Better Than Average?"

Todd Goldfarb of We the Change is a fantastic blogger and also is involved in a very important movie that is being worked on "The Shift". Todd has helped me over this last year and I am very grateful for meeting him. Look at this post from Todd, "How to Cope When Something Goes Terribly Wrong".

Vicki Spina and I connected through Oprah's site. She has given me good advice on coaching and I appreciate her friendship. She has been on Oprah and I recommend her book, "Success 2000 -- Moving Into the Millennium with Purpose Power and Prosperity"... despite the title it is timeless.

All of the above people inspired me this year. They are all incredible writers and all have their own outlook on life and the topic they write about. It has been an honor to work alongside them and learn from their examples. I hope I have not forgotten too many people (yep, unbelievably ENTIRELY possible). There have been many other blogs I have read and enjoyed. It has been a long year full of constant inspiration and love. I am very grateful to be pursuing a passion that puts me in touch with emotionally and socially conscious people trying to inspire and others. Thank you, thank you thank you! :-)

Heal Pain Naturally Achievements

I wrote recently about the sites I am now affiliated with in Natural Healing Resources as well as the "Living the Law of Attraction" book. My vision board will also be featured in the upcoming book, "The Vision Board: Unlock the Secret to An Extraordinary Life" published by Harper Collins. My proudest achievements of the year were making my first 3 videos (and being able to sit through them without running from the room) and making it to this, my 100th post.

Direction of Heal Pain Naturally

If you are a regular reader you have heard me mention (a few times) my youngest starts full day kindergarten in one short month. That means me having more time than I have had in the last 10 years daily! I have been warned by mommy's who have gone through similar not to bite off more than I can chew but c'mon that's not me.... won't the world magically transform so I have 40 hours/day in September? So yes, I have high hopes of all I want to accomplish in the next few months and I will list a few of the details here:

I will be moving Heal Pain Naturally along with my other blog and site to a site I am soon to develop: jennymannion.com. It will have a new design and this is all new to me so there might be some kinks as I learn word press and figure it all out. As I think about and develop my new site I welcome ideas and please let me know if you have any topics you would like me to write about. When I give the green light to go look at it I will welcome finding out about any bugs I have yet to address. I have been told by many this is not a seamless endeavor by any means... so I will ask for your patience and will also leave this site up until I am sure everything is running smoothly.

Once Heal Pain Naturally is up and running smoothly I will be looking to post a minimum 2 times a week there and 1-2 times a week on my computer blog.

I will be looking to coach more. I offer a free half-hour consultation. If you refer someone that signs up for coaching I will send you a free copy of my ebook. If you sign up (for a limited time) I will send you a copy of "Living the Law of Attraction". You can contact me through email at jennymannion@yahoo.com for more information on coaching and I will also have a page dedicated to it on my new site.

On the personal side I plan on starting dance and/or yoga classes again, seeing prototype #2 made of my invention and all that goes along with that (a helluva lot), purging the playroom (my kids are the only grandkids on both sides... need I say more?), planning Alex's bday party (Sept. 27), attempting to work as the roof is replaced right over my head, a few trips to NYC and where Ray grew up and Oh so much more! I sense many posts ahead as my life takes this new direction. I hope you tune in for the incredible ride I am about to begin as a deal with time management issues, Christina adjusting to school, Alex entering a lot of homework zone and many more soon to be determined life changes. ;-)

Thank you for all your support and FINALLY here are some personal thank yous for without these people I might have pressed that dreaded "delete blog" button long ago.....

Personal Thank Yous

Mom & Whitney -- I have to give thanks to my mom and step-dad for all the times they watched the kids so I could "get a post done". My mother's generosity, positivity, patience and love know no ends -- I want to be like you when I grow up mom! :-)

Ray -- I mentioned him above but wanted to thank him for all his support for me sticking with blogging and for all the love he shows me. I miss him terribly now that he works away from us but appreciate him all the more when he is home. Our life together is just getting better and better and for THAT I am eternally grateful.
Alex & Christina -- I want to thank my children Alex & Christina for making me laugh, their hugs and their endless love. Also for testing out the many computer games with me and helping me with reviews for my kid's games blog. Alex is growing up so quickly (9 soon) and is helping me teach the Law of Attraction to his little sister, 'Don't say you can't Christina otherwise it won't happen -- you've got to say you can...". Christina (she's 5) is already meditating and tells me she is waiting for levitation (which knowing Christina is entirely possible!). ;-) "But I wasn't thinking of anything for that whole time mommy - why didn't I levitate?"
Dad & Darcy -- My dad and step-mom are very quick to compliment me on a good post and to tell me how proud they are. Those words mean a lot as does their generosity and love. Darcy's art, my dad's photographs and their love of the arts continue to inspire me.

3 women that have helped me be who I am today:
Alissa Christine -- WHAT an artist and the fact that she introduced me to Ray (my husband) as well as The Secret (movie that changed everything for me) must mean she is my guardian angel! Alissa is beautiful inside and out and has been a close friend since almost the first day of college (for 20 years now). She is also an incredibly gifted artist and photographer and is the creator of I Love Miami 365.
Angela Brashear -- Walks, cross country skiing, swimming, dancing, endless talks -- whatever we do together she is a strength and has loved me and been a true friend to me for the last 2 1/2 years. I need to thank her for listening to post ideas, making me take a walk when I would have stayed with my face against my monitor and for her endless love, ear, support, hugs and her lovely family who have become family to us as well.
Julie Craumer -- I've known Julie since I was 12 (oh the pictures I could show you) and she is still one of the most kind and loving people I have ever met. I need to thank Julie for being such a good friend to me for the last 27 years -- boy have we been through a lot together (and she still loves me - I am VERY grateful!) It was an honor being Julie's maid of honor last year and I am so happy she found such a wonderful guy to go through life with!

Okay - -tired? Ready for glasses after this one? Just one more thing..... Thank you -- without my readers I would have given up a long time ago. Please keep your comments and emails coming -- they inspire me more than I could say! Please take the time and bookmark this post so you can come back and visit the above writers -- I promise you won't be disappointed. Thanks again and I look forward to sharing my next year with you.

Congrats, Jenny!!
And thank you for the mention. I'm so glad that the Reading empowered you further.

How nice it is to see all the bloggers I like in your list. This just showcases the power of web 2.0 and the blogs -- People taking up the stand with their own voice, expressing their truths. Again, I feel honored to be part of it.

Best wishes to your next 100!

Hi Akemi, Thanks so much for all you have done for me. Yes, your reading helped empower me further -- feeling pretty unstoppable these days -- good feeling to have! ;-) An incredible list of writers and you are one of them! It's an honor to know you. Gratefully, Jenny

Jenny

Congratulations on your 100th post, and thank you so much for the mention. I am very flattered. We do read a lot of the same blogs, but there is some new material here that looks right up my alley. So, thanks for that.

I'm on deadline for a copywriting job, but I will always embrace more opportunities to procrastinate from that which bores me stupid. If only I could get paid for blog reading...

And you'll see me back here again because I am also a believer in mind created illness and the book which changed my life was Louise Hay. I'm also into the Law of Attraction too and am a HUGE Abraham-Hicks fan.

Speak later.
Kelly
