7 Reasons The Law of Attraction "Isn't Working for You"

Do you believe the Law of Attraction is just a bunch of new age nonsense? Have you tried it but “it didn’t work for you”? If so it is possible you have not really understood what it is all about and/or you are “stuck” and need to rethink your approach a bit. While the movie “The Secret” brought the Law of Attraction mainstream (and I will forever be grateful because it introduced this law to me) – it had its limitations. It concentrated on monetary gain and did not amplify just how important ACTION was. The Law of Attraction has been called other names but has been talked about for centuries. You can read other texts to look at it a bit differently and study it further as I did. You can also look over my list of 7 Reasons the Law of Attraction isn’t working for you and see where you are “getting stuck” in applying it for manifestations. I hope this post will help alleviate some of the “woo woo” around the Law of Attraction and show that this is practical advice to apply to ALL parts of your life.

1) Resistance vs. Acceptance

As the quote by Carl Jung says “What You resists persists”. Are you hesitant to take responsibility for your life as it is now? Do you tend to say “but the law of attraction can’t be true because of x, y, or z”? Do you try and come up with all kinds of scenarios in which “the law of attraction can’t work?” Accept that you are responsible and have created your life so far. Don’t judge, argue with yourself or get “stuck” in the negatively such as guilt, shame or anger that this may bring – resistance and negative emotions will push things away from you instead of propelling them towards you. If you want to read about this law put in different ways by well respected authors please read, “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and/or “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Dr. Joseph Murphy.

What you are telling God/The Universe by Resisting:

If you are putting all your attention and energy into saying “This can’t be true or work” – guess what? So be it! You are telling the Universe that you do not want to manifest things by using this law and the Universe will reply by keeping things from you.

Instead:

Look at this as an opportunity to look at the past as life lessons and move on – suspend your “judgment” and just accept it – there is SUCH freedom in this. Your Life Begins Now and is no longer just what has happened up until this point! I found self forgiveness a good place to begin.

2) Self-blame vs. Self forgiveness

Yep, when I looked at 6 years of missed events, medical tests, doctor visits, missed time with my children and just how sick I was for so long I felt pretty horrendous. I could have stayed in that space -- but really I had felt badly long enough with all my illnesses. To dwell there would not accomplish anything except me missing more of my life. I had to forgive myself and I did this through meditation, journaling and Ho’oponopono. I did not consciously bring these dis-eases on myself. The illnesses and pain came because I wasn’t listening to myself or dealing with issues as they came up but was instead internalizing them. My sub-conscious created these dis-eases for me to start paying attention – it took six years but I did finally “get it”.

What you are telling God/The Universe by Self-Blame:

“I am not worthy” “Look at all I have done/said/been up until this point – I deserve to be unhappy”.

Instead:

Find a way to forgive yourself. Whether it is through writing letters to yourself to get it out, writing down life lessons learned, thinking about what different experiences taught you, by using any of the methods I used above or many of the other “letting go or clearing techniques such as EFT, SFT Awareness or The Sedona Method”. Whatever “works” for you and resonates… it is time to move on….Self Forgiveness brings a sense of peace and leaves you open for the next one that is important…

3) Self Loathing vs. Self Love

Are you your worst enemy? Are you scared because when you DO stop to listen to your self talk all you hear is you insulting yourself and saying things like “I can’t”, “I’m not smart enough, good enough….” These are programmed messages that you don’t even necessarily believe deep down. You are just so used to hearing them and acting accordingly that you don’t even doubt them for a second. You are letting them limit what you really ARE capable of.

What you are telling God/The Universe by Self Loathing:

“I am not worthy”. “I don’t love myself so how can anything good come to me?” “I’ve been told these negative things all my life – that means I MUST be them”.

Instead:

Time to congratulate yourself, you have stilled your mind enough to actually HEAR what your self-talk is saying. This is the first step to consciousness and being aware. Every tiny moment of consciousness is a chance to change the messages in your head. It’s time to concentrate on what you CAN do and find your strengths instead of concentrating on your weaknesses. Nurture and love the things you are good at! You are only limited in potential if you tell yourself you are. Oprah Winfrey started out in poverty and was sexually abused at an early age… if she had kept telling herself “I can’t” many people in this world would not have benefited from her generosity and lessons... which leads to my next point:

4) Blaming others vs. Forgiveness of Others

I love Jack Canfield’s way of looking at this in “The Secret” audiobook…. Most people have come from some form of tragedy or dysfunctionality in their lives, “divorce, sexual, physical or emotional abuse, lack of love…” Jack Canfield says that is what he calls the “so what?!” It’s what you do NOW that counts. I had a friend in high school that was sexually abused by his grandfather ten years previously. He used this fact to explain ALL his shortcomings…. If we had an argument over something silly he would automatically say “well I was sexually abused by my grandfather you know”…. This got old pretty fast… I would be left thinking, “Um, you were an hour late because your grandfather sexually abused you 10 years ago – huh?” I know he had been to therapy to deal with it and I also know he had to see his grandfather and talk to him like nothing happened. I do not mean to belittle his situation but by staying in that state of blame and non-forgiveness he was hindering his growth and healing to move forward with his life.

Forgiveness can seem impossible sometimes – how do you forgive the unforgivable? Well, there have been parents who forgave their children’s killers and many other monstrosities. Forgiveness is always possible. It is not saying you approve of what happened by any means… Time to pull out my favorite Dr. Deepak Chopra quote again, “You must realize everyone is doing the best they can from their own state of consciousness”. It does not excuse it but it allows you to accept it happened and it is done….

What you are telling God/The Universe by Blame/Non Forgiveness

“This person/thing/event has me stuck here. I will never grow because this terrible thing happened and it is this person/thing/events fault I won’t evolve.”

Instead:

The fact remains if you are carrying around blame for someone – you have suffered long enough. Only forgiveness will set YOU free. Blame and hatred are two very low energy emotions and they will not help you get to where you want to be. Find a means for forgiveness that resonates (See #2 self-forgiveness) and get to it so you can reclaim and move on with your life. Which leads to the next:

5) Wishing vs. Concrete Goal setting

Okay so you have learned about the law of attraction -- are you sitting around saying “I want a lot of money” and not doing anything about it? Are you telling yourself JUST wishing it will make it true? Sorry, but as James Ray of “The Secret” says, “they will come and take your furniture away….”.

Or maybe you feel you have been “working so hard” and nothing is coming…. That’s the problem right there – you should not feel like you are “working so hard” and by telling everyone including yourself “how hard it is to make a living” you are calling that to you. When you look at your gifts and know you want to bring them into the world but have no clue “how”…. Give up the how for now but set concrete mini goals in moving forward. I’ve called them mini goals before and they are baby steps to help propel you forward. If you are taking action in the right direction the right people and places will present themselves to you. You have to be conscious and aware for the little nudges called “intuition” and follow through. You cannot give up at the first sign of a set-back because that is showing you do not have the belief in yourself that you can achieve your goals. Edison redesigned the light bulb hundreds of times before it worked… thank goodness he didn’t give up!

What you are telling God/The Universe by Wishing and Not Taking Action

I WISH these things will happen is the same as saying you do not believe you yourself have the power to make them happen. You are saying you do not believe in your own power but rather WISH someone would just take care of things for you. You are not taking the time to discover YOUR unique gifts but are just hoping blindly for a miracle.

Instead:

Set those goals, visualize how you will feel when you do establish them and let those emotions propel you forward into inspired action. Set mini goals such as:

-- talking to someone else who has done what you are trying to do

-- finding out more about occupations in your interests

-- spending 5 minutes doing affirmations telling yourself you will achieve your goals

-- meditating 5-10 minutes a day to start

-- educating yourself further on interests and believe you can do it which is the next step….

6) Disbelief vs. Belief

Do you have disbelief that you can do whatever you set your mind to no matter WHAT the circumstances or "odds" seem like? Do you have a bad case of the “buts”:

“But this can’t happen because…”

“But this is too hard”

“But I just can’t believe I could do it”…..

Guess what? You have just damned yourself to repeat your current situation over and over. There are no buts! I can’t explain exactly WHY I knew I could heal myself when I saw The Secret but I KNEW it deep inside. I now believe I knew it because this was my time to heal. I did not know if I would be as healthy as my young self. I did know by adopting habits that served me and becoming conscious I would feel tremendously better than I did at the time. This “belief” helped me tremendously. Even as I dealt with all my past “stuff” such as forgiveness, self love, being ungrateful, etc. I knew I was confronting it for a greater purpose and that purpose was healing from the inside out.

Continued belief and faith is important as well. I was not “judging” my healing or did not put a time frame on it. You have to believe that God/The Universe/Source knows what’s best for you and as long as you are taking action and moving forward the right things will be delivered to you as you need them. That “perfect” job may not have been so perfect… that “perfect” mate might have more skeletons than the Natural History Museum…. TRUST and BELIEVE that as long as you are doing your part – even what looks like a set-back at first might be what was needed to bring your biggest gift later. It takes time to develop new habits – especially if you have been on autopilot as long as I was! ;-) Be patient with yourself and celebrate each mini success – you are moving closer to awareness.

What you are telling God/The Universe by Disbelief

“I KNOW better than you what is good for me and HOW things should happen.” “Life is Hard” and I know the order things MUST go in for me to get anywhere.

Instead:

Believe you can do anything you set your mind and heart to. Accept that you are a powerful being and you do deserve the goodness that is going to come your way. Do not stray from this belief or if you do – re-center and believe again… Believe that “when you change the way you look at things – the things you look at will change” (Thank you Dr. Dyer for my favorite quote). A good way to start believing and empowering yourself is the last and final step; gratitude.

7) Ungrateful vs. Gratitude

Are you concentrating on everything you don’t have? Are you wishing you could have more but in a desperate kind of – “I KNOW I’ll never have more” kind of way? I know I was queen of concentrating on what I didn’t have. When you don’t have your health you can lump a lot of other things in right with it (friends, good times, feeling energetic and alive…).

It is interesting to me the lessons I learned from my husband’s real estate business here in upstate NY and from when we were looking for houses here. For the most part, the “poorest” people had the most “stuff” -- disorganized sometimes but MANY had tons of “things”. Most of these people were quick to point out they had nothing and no money to acquire anything. They did not see their magazines, clothes, toys and belongings as things to be grateful for – most were too busy being caught up in “what they didn’t have”. The wealthiest people we have come across have less “stuff”. Their houses have a zen-like quality. Ours has begun to take on that quality room by room the last year as we sell and donate things. If you have a lot of “stuff” – it can give you the feeling of being disorganized, overwhelmed and sends the signs out to the Universe that “you have more than enough and no room for more things”. I used to want to keep ALL of my books. Now I take great joy in passing them on. Yes, I will keep a few but I did not need hundreds lying around that I would probably never look at again.

What you are telling God/The Universe by Being Ungrateful

I have more than enough! I can’t handle or appreciate what I have. No more stuff please!

Instead:

You NEED to shift to the feeling of gratitude. What DO you have? Do you have a pet you love? Family? Friend(s) even one true friend is worthy of TONS of gratitude…. A roof over your head? Music that makes you happy? An easy time breathing? The ability to walk, see, hear, taste, feel? A safe environment? Concentrating on these things for even a minute a day will shift your mood and energy.

Pay attention to the areas of your house that have accumulated “things”. Do you feel overwhelmed when you go into a room? By giving things away you are not only helping others, you are acknowledging that you are grateful and see the things you have been given. You are clearing space for more things to come into your life.

CONCLUSION:

If you put these steps into action in your life you will become more conscious and be calling forth abundance. The Law of Attraction is at work and perhaps if you look at some of the more monumental events in your life (“good and bad”) you can see what led up to them, process and let go of them and learn how to move forward. I will be forever grateful for my illnesses and dis-eases because it led me to where I am right now. I might not have found my passion for teaching others about healing and consciousness if I had not been ill – and to date this is the greatest gift I have been given. My healing came when it was best for me to come. My love of helping others combined with writing for my blogs almost feel dreamlike to me because they come so effortlessly. I have ultimate confidence in myself to succeed in all areas of my life because I am awake… no not all the time… I have my moments – I am human! Consciousness does not come to most of us like it came to Eckhart Tolle (in one moment when he was close to taking his own life). It is a slow process…. Do not judge and berate yourself on the mis-steps (Appreciate ALL the Moments Not Just the Good Ones) but be sure to congratulate yourself on the positive…. Become your own best friend instead of your own worst enemy and you will attract riches in all areas of your life in many different forms.

I know the Law of Attraction works because I have seen it transform my life and many others. For real life examples and stories of manifestation please check out the book my story is in (as well as 50 others) “Living the Law of Attraction”. Sometimes you need to read “proof” and inspirational stories to have that “A-Ha” moment. I am now expanding my coaching practice and will include a free copy of “Living The Law of Attraction” if you sign up with me as your mind/body mentor. I also offer a free ½ hour consultation with any purchase of my e-book. I welcome comments and contact via comments on this blog or emailing me at jennymannion@yahoo.com.

Living the Law of Attraction -- Real Stories of Manifestations and Healing

By reading "Living the Law of Attraction" you discover JUST how powerful the Law of Attraction is by real life examples. Over fifty people tell their own stories of manifesting health, wealth, relationships, jobs, weight loss, happiness and much more using the Law of Attraction and Inspired Action. This book begins with a forward by Bob Doyle of the Secret. The Introduction is written by Rich German who co-created the book with his sister, Robin Hoch and includes a step by step method to make The Law of Attraction work for you. I am honored to be a part of this book and the inspiration it will bring to many.

CREATING THE BOOK

This book is all about changing your life for the better using the Law of Attraction. Rich German and Robin Hoch collected stories and also put the law into action in their own lives to make this book a reality. Through their vision and inspired action they were able to pick dozens of stories to include. They were also able to get Bob Doyle and Marie Diamond of "The Secret" to be very excited about the project as well. In the Foreword of Living the Law of Attraction Bob Doyle recognizes how powerful and inspiring it is to share these stories. He utilizes and trains others to use the law of attraction and inspired action to manifest whatever they want or need in their lives. Bob Doyle is now heading the free "Boundless Living Challenge" which helps you do just that and he is participating in it as well.

Rich German is gifted at leading guided meditations and is also a renowned business and life coach. Rich and Robin understand the Law of Attraction and Rich gives a wonderful step by step Action Plan to put the Law of Attraction to work in your life in the Introduction. He includes six steps along with exercises you can do to take action and manifest results. Rich and Bob Doyle also have an audio interview series with 8 contributing authors of the book that is well worth looking into called the "Living the Law of Attraction Interview Program".

Robin Hoch also co-created "How to Talk to Your Kids About The Law of Attraction" with her brother Rich. She also began a social network called Living the Law of Attraction so after you read the book you can connect with the authors to see how they are doing, ask questions or get to know them better. There are forums to help others manifest as well as a place to share vision boards and success stories.

Sharing of Stories

Sharing these stories helps others to say "if they can do it so can I" and also demystifies the Law of Attraction. This isn't some new "fad". I have now read texts from over a hundred years ago that state the same things and there is nothing "magical" about it. In fact when you do learn it and start to apply it -- it feels like "common sense" you somehow misplaced. There was no magic or new agedness to what I did by reclaiming my health. I became conscious and took action and the results are enabling me to also take control of all other areas of my life. When I look at all that I have manifested in the last year I am amazed, grateful and know it is because I learned how to apply the Law of Attraction.

The book is broken down into categories and sub categories so you can skip around and read about the type of stories you feel you will most relate to or about things you yourself want to manifest. You can also simply go start to finish as I did and be inspired and smile all the way through. The categories are Health and Wellness, Business and Career, Happiness which includes the subcategory of Love and Relationships and Everyday Miracles. Each story begins with a quote and ends with a message and a little about the author.

This book is so well laid out and I find myself returning to it to reread some of the stories that resonated with me the most. It is also wonderful to be able to connect with others on the network they created and see all of these authors living their life to its fullest and now helping others to do the same.

From
Sierra Goodman who lost 170 lb. and now works her dream job to Michael Cortson who recovered from several terminal cancers and a stroke and now is a successful author. From Melissa Lane who overcame many personal tragedies to become successful AND cured of hypoglycemia to Julia Rogers Hamrick that NEEDED a desk for her business to grow and to get organized and her magnificent manifestation.... There are so many different voices to be heard that there is someone in here for everyone to resonate with.

If you needed another reason to pick up this incredible book there is the fact that
a percentage of each book sale goes directly to The Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Rich and Robin are collecting stories for their next edition. You can email your story of manifestation using The Law of Attraction to: Stories@Living-the-LOA.com or visit their web site Living the LOA for more information.

I am expanding my coaching practice as a mind/body mentor in the fall. If you sign up for sessions I will send you a free copy of Living the Law of Attraction. Email me at jennymannion@yahoo.com for further details.

Heal Pain Naturally Celebrates 100th Post and 1 Year Anniversary!

Thank you to my readers, fellow bloggers and family for making this blog successful over the last year. I am even more in love with blogging than I was a year ago. I wanted to share with you why I started blogging, the most popular posts of the past year, fellow bloggers that have inspired me, my achievements, what direction this blog is headed in and also some personal thank you's. THE BEGINNING

After I had healed myself and wrote my ebook on the healing process I needed a way to market it to get my story out there. I went onto The Warrior Forum and found out about this FREE internet Marketing Course Called The Thirty Day Challenge. I loved it and fell in love with blogging in the process. I even made a video to thank Dan Raine and Ed Dale for offering and teaching The Thirty Day Challenge. I am doing it this year as well (Aug every year). It is even MORE awesome and the tools they teach aren't JUST cutting edge but almost anyone that spends some time on the internet could benefit from their vast knowledge. Thanks again guys!

Writing had always been a part of my life and connecting with others through it had been something I had never considered. I am loving meeting, learning from and helping people and blogging has turned out to be a lot more social that I had originally thought. I would like to share with you some of the most popular posts that I have written this past year:

Blogging/Bloggers

I started off Heal Pain Naturally and Non Violent Computer Game Recommendations for Children at about the same time. I enjoy writing for both blogs although I write for Heal Pain Naturally more frequently and feel this is where my deepest passion lies. I have met so many INCREDIBLE people in the world of blogging and yes, I will attempt to list the people I NEED to thank and that I believe will enrich your life as well. I tried to break them into categories but it came down to this -- whether it be health, personal development, spirituality, parenting or business -- these writers all help people to live their lives to their fullest potential. So I decided to list them alphabetically (by first name) and write a little blurb about each along with a post of theirs that I think you will enjoy.

Aaron Potts of Today is That Day and Personal Development Partners is the only fellow blogger I have written a birthday poem to. Aaron has offered a lot of support and praise to me this year and for that and for PDP I am forever grateful. A great post of Aaron's to check out is "You Have to Look with Better Eyes Than That".

Lyman Reed at Creating a Better Life I first met through PDP.

Lyman is wonderful at sharing resources that will help you design a better life from the inside out. A great sample of Lyman's voice is "
I Am I Feel There is (Rotten Apples)".

Michele Vandepas of "
Divine Purpose Unleashed"(which she has with CK Reyes) stopped to help me with advice right before leaving for a blog convention. Her kindness and intuitive nature was evident on the phone and her words and advice continue to inspire me. Check out "Here's a Quick Way to Discover What's Important to You (And ME)".

Neil Sattin is currently developing
his children's music site and also has a Natural Dog Training blog and a Personal Development Blog. Neil and I met at the Pavlina meetup and we stayed in touch ever since and he has become a friend. Neil is smart, funny and has very enjoyable children songs. I love his post, "Relationship Advice -- How to Know When to Leave a Relationship".

Patricia at
Spiritual Journey of a Lightworker is an inspiration. She hesitates to call herself "an incest survivor" anymore because she is much more than that and her experience helped to form her into who she is today. Patricia shares her vast spiritual knowledge and journey and a good post to begin with is, "Healing and Letting Go of Repressed Emotions".

Patrick Mathieu at The Power of Mortality I met when I won his book in a contest run by Peter (below). I wrote a review of Patrick's book "What's Your Expiry Date?" in March and highly recommend it. His story is hugely inspirational as is his blog. A good starting place is his post"Whose Business is That?"

Peter at The Change Blog and Pick the Brain and I have been emailing the last few months. He is a pleasure to communicate with and very kind. He consistently provides interesting and helpful posts. A very useful one is "24 Daily Habits".

Priscilla McIntire (formerly Priscilla Palmer) and I met through her Personal Development List and PDP and we became quick friends. Priscilla has given me lots of good advice over the last year and I wish her good luck as she has recently gotten married, is pregnant and resumed blogging. Please read her recent post "Provide Value to Others".

Raymond Mannion at
Oneonta TaeKwonDo and occasionally at home with me and the kids is without a doubt "the love of my life". We have been through so much these last 11 years of marriage and it just makes us stronger. I recommend checking out his post "Top 7 Things to Consider Before Choosing a Martial Arts School". Ray tests for his 3rd degree black belt in October and runs his own Tae Kwon Do School in town.

Rich German is the co creator along with his sister Robin Hoch of "Living The Law of Attraction: Real Stories of People Manifesting Health, Wealth and Happiness" that I was lucky enough to be a part of. Rich runs meditation classes that are brilliant and you can find out more about him on his site.

Robin Hoch not only co-produced the above book with her brother but also co-authored the wonderful ebook "
How to Talk to Your Kids About The Law of Attraction" with Rich as well. Both books are well worth checking out.

Sierra Goodman of
I can I can I can is also featured in the Living the Law of Attraction book. She is proof you can use the law of attraction to lose weight because she lost 170 lb. She also is living her dream job in Costa Rica. Check out her blog to learn more about her inspirational story and life.

Simon from
The Secret of Life and I met at the beginning of my blogging. We corresponded a good bit and it's been a pleasure to get to know him. I love his latest post, "Ten Words That Can Heal the World".

Slade Roberson of Shift Your Spirits can find me looking forward to his weekly posts as they arrive in my inbox. When I read a post from Slade I am always taken by his intelligence and by how connected he is spiritually. Slade inspires me to become more spiritually connected and for that I am very grateful. I recently enjoyed his post, "What Are You Waiting For?".

Steve Pavlina gave me very good advice when I got to meet him in NYC. I was bogged down in the few negative comments I was receiving and was not concentrating on all the positive ones. He put it in perspective really quickly for me and since then I have received very few negative comments. You could spend days reading all his posts and also discussing them in his forums. Here's a good place to start, "Levels of Consciousness".

Suzie Cheel of
Abundance Highway and her art blog is an inspiration to me. She is brave and has posted a few goals online that would have had me shaking in my shoes and she succeeded. Go Suzie! Check out Suzie's, "Monday Motivation: Being Aware".

Tim Brownson of
A Daring Adventure is probably so sick of me singing his praises but I could not leave him off of this list. His HILARIOUSLY real and INTELLIGENT outlook on life keeps me going back for more. His book "Don't Ask No Stupid Questions - There are No Stupid Questions" is one to read and re-read. Ok Tim -- promise you won't be mentioned in my next post! ;-) Check out this brilliant one by Tim, "Are You Better Than Average?"

Todd Goldfarb of We the Change is a fantastic blogger and also is involved in a very important movie that is being worked on "The Shift". Todd has helped me over this last year and I am very grateful for meeting him. Look at this post from Todd, "How to Cope When Something Goes Terribly Wrong".

Vicki Spina and I connected through Oprah's site. She has given me good advice on coaching and I appreciate her friendship. She has been on Oprah and I recommend her book, "Success 2000 -- Moving Into the Millennium with Purpose Power and Prosperity"... despite the title it is timeless.

All of the above people inspired me this year. They are all incredible writers and all have their own outlook on life and the topic they write about. It has been an honor to work alongside them and learn from their examples. I hope I have not forgotten too many people (yep, unbelievably ENTIRELY possible). There have been many other blogs I have read and enjoyed. It has been a long year full of constant inspiration and love. I am very grateful to be pursuing a passion that puts me in touch with emotionally and socially conscious people trying to inspire and others. Thank you, thank you thank you! :-)

Heal Pain Naturally Achievements

I wrote recently about the sites I am now affiliated with in Natural Healing Resources as well as the "Living the Law of Attraction" book. My vision board will also be featured in the upcoming book, "The Vision Board: Unlock the Secret to An Extraordinary Life" published by Harper Collins. My proudest achievements of the year were making my first 3 videos (and being able to sit through them without running from the room) and making it to this, my 100th post.

Direction of Heal Pain Naturally

If you are a regular reader you have heard me mention (a few times) my youngest starts full day kindergarten in one short month. That means me having more time than I have had in the last 10 years daily! I have been warned by mommy's who have gone through similar not to bite off more than I can chew but c'mon that's not me.... won't the world magically transform so I have 40 hours/day in September? So yes, I have high hopes of all I want to accomplish in the next few months and I will list a few of the details here:

I will be moving Heal Pain Naturally along with my other blog and site to a site I am soon to develop: jennymannion.com. It will have a new design and this is all new to me so there might be some kinks as I learn word press and figure it all out. As I think about and develop my new site I welcome ideas and please let me know if you have any topics you would like me to write about. When I give the green light to go look at it I will welcome finding out about any bugs I have yet to address. I have been told by many this is not a seamless endeavor by any means... so I will ask for your patience and will also leave this site up until I am sure everything is running smoothly.

Once Heal Pain Naturally is up and running smoothly I will be looking to post a minimum 2 times a week there and 1-2 times a week on my computer blog.

I will be looking to coach more. I offer a free half-hour consultation. If you refer someone that signs up for coaching I will send you a free copy of my ebook. If you sign up (for a limited time) I will send you a copy of "Living the Law of Attraction". You can contact me through email at jennymannion@yahoo.com for more information on coaching and I will also have a page dedicated to it on my new site.

On the personal side I plan on starting dance and/or yoga classes again, seeing prototype #2 made of my invention and all that goes along with that (a helluva lot), purging the playroom (my kids are the only grandkids on both sides... need I say more?), planning Alex's bday party (Sept. 27), attempting to work as the roof is replaced right over my head, a few trips to NYC and where Ray grew up and Oh so much more! I sense many posts ahead as my life takes this new direction. I hope you tune in for the incredible ride I am about to begin as a deal with time management issues, Christina adjusting to school, Alex entering a lot of homework zone and many more soon to be determined life changes. ;-)

Thank you for all your support and FINALLY here are some personal thank yous for without these people I might have pressed that dreaded "delete blog" button long ago.....

Personal Thank Yous

Mom & Whitney -- I have to give thanks to my mom and step-dad for all the times they watched the kids so I could "get a post done". My mother's generosity, positivity, patience and love know no ends -- I want to be like you when I grow up mom! :-)

Ray -- I mentioned him above but wanted to thank him for all his support for me sticking with blogging and for all the love he shows me. I miss him terribly now that he works away from us but appreciate him all the more when he is home. Our life together is just getting better and better and for THAT I am eternally grateful.
Alex & Christina -- I want to thank my children Alex & Christina for making me laugh, their hugs and their endless love. Also for testing out the many computer games with me and helping me with reviews for my kid's games blog. Alex is growing up so quickly (9 soon) and is helping me teach the Law of Attraction to his little sister, 'Don't say you can't Christina otherwise it won't happen -- you've got to say you can...". Christina (she's 5) is already meditating and tells me she is waiting for levitation (which knowing Christina is entirely possible!). ;-) "But I wasn't thinking of anything for that whole time mommy - why didn't I levitate?"
Dad & Darcy -- My dad and step-mom are very quick to compliment me on a good post and to tell me how proud they are. Those words mean a lot as does their generosity and love. Darcy's art, my dad's photographs and their love of the arts continue to inspire me.

3 women that have helped me be who I am today:
Alissa Christine -- WHAT an artist and the fact that she introduced me to Ray (my husband) as well as The Secret (movie that changed everything for me) must mean she is my guardian angel! Alissa is beautiful inside and out and has been a close friend since almost the first day of college (for 20 years now). She is also an incredibly gifted artist and photographer and is the creator of I Love Miami 365.
Angela Brashear -- Walks, cross country skiing, swimming, dancing, endless talks -- whatever we do together she is a strength and has loved me and been a true friend to me for the last 2 1/2 years. I need to thank her for listening to post ideas, making me take a walk when I would have stayed with my face against my monitor and for her endless love, ear, support, hugs and her lovely family who have become family to us as well.
Julie Craumer -- I've known Julie since I was 12 (oh the pictures I could show you) and she is still one of the most kind and loving people I have ever met. I need to thank Julie for being such a good friend to me for the last 27 years -- boy have we been through a lot together (and she still loves me - I am VERY grateful!) It was an honor being Julie's maid of honor last year and I am so happy she found such a wonderful guy to go through life with!

Okay - -tired? Ready for glasses after this one? Just one more thing..... Thank you -- without my readers I would have given up a long time ago. Please keep your comments and emails coming -- they inspire me more than I could say! Please take the time and bookmark this post so you can come back and visit the above writers -- I promise you won't be disappointed. Thanks again and I look forward to sharing my next year with you.
